Hannah Boyd is a Georgia native and currently resides in the North Atlanta area with her husband Douglas Boyd.  He is a local optometrist, together they have two sons and two Boston Terriers.  She discovered her passion for optometry in 2006 when she began her career in a private optometry practice.  Through the years she served as a billing group manager for a larger company before starting her optometry billing service.  She has hands-on experience in each role that is vital for the success of a healthy practice, specifically insurance and revenue cycle management with her focus being optometry.  In her free time, you will find her reading a book, decorating her house, planning a party, spending time with friends, and by the water! Dr. Douglas D. Boyd is a second-generation Optometrist.  Dr. Doug grew up in his father's family practice and served as an optician and practice manager prior to his optometric education.  Dr. Doug graduated from the University of North Georgia with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Biology.  He graduated summa cum laude with a Doctorate of Optometry from the Kentucky College of Optometry.  He trained with local surgeons at Woolfson Eye Institute and Omni Eye Services in Atlanta during his education. He is an active member of the American Optometric Association and the Georgia Optometric Association.  Dr. Doug's clinical services include: comprehensive routine eye care, treatment and management of ocular diseases such as diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, glaucoma, dry eyes, vision therapy, and binocular vision disorders.   In addition to practicing, he advises on eyecare billing and providing the best optometry billing service Personally, Dr. Doug resides in Forsyth County, Georgia with his wife, Hannah, and their two sons.  In his free time, he enjoys spending time on Lake Lanier, being outdoors, hunting, and playing baseball with his boys. 

Kathy McConnell brings 30 years of medical billing experience to Collective Revenue Consulting. She started her career at an ophthalmology office in Kansas City, KS where she served in many roles including front desk, billing supervisor, and office manager. In 2014, Kathy began eyecare billing. She has extensive experience with the full revenue cycle, having held positions in which she was responsible for coding, charge entry, claims submission, payment posting, following up on claim denials, and accounts receivable management. She enjoys the “detective work” involved in researching unpaid claims and is committed to helping optometrists maximize their revenue using her knowledge and experience in conjunction with efficient billing processes. Kathy currently resides in Kansas City, MO with her husband, Bob, and their 5 spoiled cats. 

Valerie Close currently resides in South Carolina with her Military Veteran husband and 3 cats. They have recently become Empty Nesters as their son has left to join the United States Air Force. Upon being stationed in Texas in 2007, she found herself working in an Optometry office where she wore many hats, including managing the front desk, working as an optician, and working as a technician. This eventually led her into the world of Optical billing in 2015 and she hasn’t looked back. Her background in the office has made her successful in communicating with insurance companies over the last 9 years to get claims paid and maximize practice revenue. She enjoys Church, Crafting, Coffee, and making people laugh.
